A Nickel-Iron-Cobalt, controlledexpansion alloy containing 29% Nickel. It''s coefficient ofexpansion (which decreases with rising temperature to theinflection point), matches the expansion rate of borosilicateglasses and aluminia ceramics. Applications include glass to metalseals in applications requiring high reliability or resistance tothermal shock, ie. high-power transmitting valves, transistor leadsand heaters and photography flashbulbs.
